Job description: Primary Phase Teacher
Treeside Private Academy in Lydenburg needs a primary school teacher. This position is for term one 2026.
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate teacher with excellent computer skills who is willing to facilitate multiple grades in one class. We need someone who can plan, control, record, and report on assessments. You will be required to conform to the values and ethos of the school, as well as assist with the school sports and cultural activities. Additionally, you will be expected to attend meetings, forums, and workshops for the phase, indicating your willingness to learn.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) – compulsory.
- Relevant teaching experience in the Foundation and/or Intermediate Phase.
- Strong classroom management and learner discipline skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Ability to plan, assess and report in line with curriculum and school policy.
- Commitment to learner development, professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience.
- Proof of a clear criminal record
- South African Citizen
Key Responsibilities:
- Present high-quality teaching and learning in accordance with CAPS.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments and learning support material.
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to learners and parents.
- Participate in school activities, meetings and professional development
